Stock R brake discs..

Post by J1mmy91 »

Hi all,

I'm running the standard R brakes set up but with DS2500 Ferodo pads, RBF600 fluid and Goodridge lines. I had a track day at Snett the other month and but stock discs have warped pretty bad. They are running abit thin which won't help but I was just wondering if anyone has used a good aftermarket disc or should I just use genuine VWs ?

I'm not going for a BBK as I'm planning on selling the car some time next year just want the best discs I can get on stock callipers.

Thanks

Jim

late reply to this.. but it probably wasn't warped discs you had.

under heavy braking, you can leave pad deposits on the disc, and this can result in a vibration through the pedal that feels like warping. A few days later normal driving and this should sort itself out!

If your thinking of selling up next year would stock disc not be a better option?
