Chrome pipes - are they a trim?

Post by Darren1967 »

Hello all,

A question to 2.0Tsi owners - Are the chrome exhaust pipes a screw on trim?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I only just read that the 1.4 and Tdi don't come with the chrome pipes which is a real shame and I wondered if they could be bought as a VW accessory?

Cheers

The VW ones on my old GT Sport 170TDI Golf were crimped on towards the back of the chrome tubing, same system possibly available on the 1.4TSI and 2.0TDI if the tube diameter and engle of end cut are the same?

Diameter of twin tubes on my TDI GT seem the same visually as the old Golf (I haven't measured up though)
