Here's My Black Scirocco
Latest Pictures
Pretty new here so I'll get the pictures up and get involved with everyone
Got a black Scirocco about a month ago, had to drive from Glasgow to Yorkshire to get it, but it was so worth it.
I couldn't get it on the day so the garage got a driver to bring it up for me 3 days later. I took the day off work and waited for it to arrive, I was so excited I could hardly sleep the night before. Anyway I got the car and couldn't wait to drive it
It rained every day for the next week so I couldn't really get round to giving it a good clean, then I was away on holiday and this is the first chance I got since I came back to get some pictures
The car is the way I bought it before any mods start

Yes I'll come through and see what's going on
I can meet somewhere in Cambuslang first, Stirling is quite a bit away I'm at the other side of Glasgow

Where are you? Do you know where we are meeting? It's all in the post mate. If not sure send me a PM. There is another member coming from Renfrew and from cambuslang to meet us before going to Stirling.mackie01 wrote:Irvysan wrote:Welcome, looking Good! You coming on Saturday?

Re: Here's My Black Scirocco
I had already planned to do a couple of mods, but after the meet we had yesterday, I decided I had to get them done asap
First was the brakes, this would take the longest so I started with them
Before
During
While these were drying in between coats, I did this
And fitted these
A few hours later
So far I'm pleased with how the brakes turned out as I've never did anything like that before. Just need to leave them to dry properly.
I've still to do the back ones, I'll get them done next weekend and fit the internal stuff, metal brakes, paddle shift extenders, door sills and LED lights

Re: Here's My Black Scirocco
After seeing the stuff you all had done to your cars I had to get it started haha. I have no idea what paint it was, I just went to a local car shop and asked for brake caliper paint, I will look when I get home if you want to know it took me all day to do the front 2, I'll get the back ones done this weekend.Irvysan wrote:Howdy, this was the paint I was talking about :Dunk04 wrote:that was quick you didnt hang about haha, calipers look good. what Paint did you use ? thinking about re doing mine.

I think the brushed ones that guy did looked really good, I don't think I could paint it as good as him haha. Spray paint seemed easier and quicker, but they turned out quite well anyway :-)

Re: Here's My Black Scirocco
You will need a T20 torx for doing the drivers side footwell, other than that you will just need a thin flat screwdriver or trimtool. Those LED's I got were spot on [emoji106]mackie01 wrote:Cheers :-) I just ordered the ones you have in your thread so they should be ok :-) did you have a trim tool or did you just use a screwdriver ?Irvysan wrote:Great job mate looks a treat. I can't see them on my phone using Tapatalk, need to use the phone browser in desktop mode to see them. Not sure why...Shaun1982 wrote:Why can't I see any of your photos [PENSIVE FACE] I'm all intrigued as to while the brakes dried you did 'this & fitted these' lol
EDIT :
The URLs for the images are https rather than http which is why we can't see them.

Sorry you can't see the pictures, I had bother attaching pictures and the only way I thought it would work was by uploading it to a photo site and a link. I'm still new to this so I'll get it fixed when I know how lol.
The black alloys are murder to keep clean, and there is a lot of roadworks near me the now and the stones keep coming up and chipping them, I've not kerbed them yet :-D

Re: Here's My Black Scirocco
I'm sure my dad will have one of them lying somewhere :-) I'll try it with a screwdriver first, if I can't do it, I'll get the trim tool. Did you get LEDs for the number plate ?Irvysan wrote:You will need a T20 torx for doing the drivers side footwell, other than that you will just need a thin flat screwdriver or trimtool.
