Pressure Washer?

Post by dchapman32 »

Hi all,

I'm thinking about investing in a pressure washer but I'm a little nervous about getting one with too much pressure that may damage the 'Roc.

Has anyone got the Karcher K4 Car Pressure Washer? If so, is it any good? Would anyone recommend against getting one in general?

Thanks in advance!

I've the Nilfisk C130 1.6. Great pressure washer. From the research I did when looking to buy myself Nilfisk offered better value for money than Karcher and came with a more desirable induction motor over the universal motor fitted to the sub £300 Karchers. Adjustable pressure too which is handy.

D, people have advised me to get a nilfisk as they're more reliable than a karcher & quiter too. Amazon have the c120 6-6 pcad xtra I think it is at £79.99 [THUMBS UP SIGN]

Cheers for the tip mate... that's a massive reduction in price! I heard the Karcher was pretty loud so that's a plus too. I think you've sold me on it :vibes:

I was going to buy one myself but other things(and having my wheels painted at work on Monday) have come in the way. Just hoping when I do come to buy one they're still around that figure lol. Plus there's the bits included for keeping the wife happy by cleaning the drive [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]

D I used my dad's nilfisk c110.4 today for the first time. Very quiet & a nice long pipe. If that's anything to go by I'm definitely having a c120 [THUMBS UP SIGN]

I did the wife's car today as I was waiting for samples that didn't turn up for the rocco so its still dirty.
Wanted my wheels off so I could get them ready for being painted on Monday at work but that ideas out the window now.

I too would be interested in hearing what the nilfisk c120 is like. I have a Karcher 520M which I don't know how compares but it is on its last legs and I need a new one.

I'd spend the extra and get the C130. It has a more powerful motor and the hose reel is very very handy and keeps everything neat and tidy.

Having used the c110 I won't be buying a bigger one than the c120. It had more than enough grunt to do the car so ill not be spending more than I need to [THUMBS UP SIGN]

I have a nilfisk (forget the model) though the pump is very squeeky in operation (supposedly normal)

good compact size and been fine for five years
