My Blue Rocco =)

Post by Sciroc_Ell »

Hi guys, my names Elliott.

Been on this forum for a while now, browsing and getting new ideas. So I think it's about time I introduce my baby lol, my scirocco in rising Blue.
I originally bought her as a salvaged car (cat c). Everything been repaired, VIC test completed.

She's a 2.0 GT TSI, manual. I'm looking to do some upgrades every month or so. What I have in mind are as follows:-
1. Stage 1 remap (not sure on who to go with, any suggestions would be great)
2. Lowering either coilovers or springs
3. Induction Kit
4. New intercooler (either s3 intercooler or front mount intercooler - not sure if they're the same lol)

Along with other things that I haven't thought up yet.

My overall aim is to reach 300-350bhp. Once that target is reached, I'll be happy.

SO yeah, that's my Scirocco. Feel free to leave any suggestions and what not

Thanks guys :D

Your car comes with a front mount intercooler as standard, and they're pretty good as it is. the only real benefit of upgrading to an S3 intercooler is it has metal tank ends rather than the plastic.....

As for remap I'd highly recommend APR. You can change your maps if you have cruise control and even PIN protect your car so even if someone steals your keys, they won't be able to start the car without putting in a PIN. Another popular map is REVO but everyone I know that's had a revo map shortly after needs a clutch. My brother in law had a Mk6 GTI with a revo map and I have my Scirocco with an APR and mine feels quicker.

As for 300-350, you won't see that unless you're changing turbos. You might push 300 with stage 2 remap, intake, full turbo back exhaust. There's a nasty squashed intercooler pipe down the bottom left of the engine bay that Neuspeed make a replacement pipe for. Apart from that, the standard intercooler would work fine with a stage 2 map

Hi and welcome. Nice car.
As for a remap based on such good feedback I would go with revo. I plan on getting mine remaped by revo soon.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Update - The gearbox decided to seize up on me on a roundabout last week. I've been told I need a new one, hopefully I'll get that next week.
Once that is done, the mods commence.

Sorry I haven't updated this thread much. Been very busy with work and trying to sort bits and bobs out with the car.

Sorted out the gearbox problem and then got myself a new front bumper. Just need to find a new honeycomb grill to replace to broken one.

Haven't really done much as far as modding goes apart from spraying my VW badges & putting on the new bumper.
I was going to add a HID conversion kit but after reading several posts, I've decided against that idea lol.
Next payday I'll probably start the process of lowering it.

Thanks lol

I was going to take them off originally but I changed my mind because I wanted to be a bit different. And I actually really like it this way
