For the oil filter I took your engine code to be a 'CBD' 140PS diesel. If its a later 'CFH' 140PS diesel, then it will be 03L 115 562. (On your boot sticker or service log book inside page.)

One final question i hope, is the sump plug instantly accessible from underneath the car or are there likely to be any plastic covers/baffles to take off first to get access to the sump plug? :)

There are two types depending on factory build. A quick look under the Scirocco from behind the rear of the front right tyre will tell. In the middle of the car the sump bolt will be visible or the full undertray cover will be in place. Not hard to remove with the car raised a little. Remove the Torx Bolts and it slides slightly backwards and drops out.

This is the open version with a big "moon" cut. So the sump bolt is easily accessed.

The Bluemotion usually is filled in where the engine and gearbox representations are shown in the first photo. Has 3 extra Torx bolts on the rear lip edge.
