Hi, i am currently looking to make use of this car scrap scheme and the scriocco has taken my fancy. Went to look at one the other day and love it. Got a test drive coming soon when the dealer gets the correct engine in stock. I am looking at the 1.4 TSi but with the DSG gearbox.
Does anyone have a 1.4 TSi with the DSG, are you glad you paid the extra £1k for the box?
Is the Heat insulating tinted glass worth the £195 price tag? Does it help?
Is speccing the Multifunction leather trimmed Steering Wheel at £245 the cheapest way of getting the Highline computer on the non GT model?
Is the Highline computer the same on the non GT as the GT e.g. Can i customise things or does the non GT model not have the customisable things?
Whats the main difference between the midline and the highline?
Anyone got a picture of a non GT rear seats to see how unsporty they are?
A Few Questions
Re: A Few Questions
Hello,
Can't answer any of your questions other than the last one - I test drove a GT and own a non GT and the rear seats were no different.

The last time I checked the multi function steering wheel was £205.
I didnt know that by speccing the multi function steering wheel, you got the upgraded computer. - So im also be interested in the difference between the midline and the highline computers- I was considering ditching the multi function steering wheel from my order, but think I will keep it on if this is confirmed

Re: A Few Questions
I think the full list of manufacturers that have signed up for the scheme is out on monday. You might want to wait until then to see if VW is in it and which cars it relates to. My dealer told me if they joined that small cars like the Fox would be tricky because they only make £500 on it anyway so knocking £1000 off for their share will not be worth it so they may limit it to certain models.

Re: A Few Questions
Hello I have recently ordered a 1.4 TSI with the DSG gearbox. As far as the DSG box goes it is definitely worth it. I was not initially interested but the dealer insisted I tried one and I was sold on it straight away.
Remeber if you want the paddle shift on the steering wheel you have to order the multifunction steering wheel (for DSG option) which will give you Highline computer. I believe the Highline computer allows you change things like the interior light off delay.
Personally I didn't go for the rear tinted windows, I think the car looks better without.
