Springs

Just got my R and was wondering which springs are preferred by most.

H&R or VWR

I drive a: Scirocco R
In: Rising Blue
With a: DSG box
Options: Fully loaded including Recaro seats
20" Cades Shift alloys with 245/30/20 Michelin Cup Sport 2 tyres
VWR Tracksport Coilovers, anti lift, wishbones and engine/gearbox mounts
Turbo back BCS Sports Powervalve exhaust with race cat & wrapped downpipe
VWR air intake and Stage 2 APR map
Location: Southampton, Hants

Both are good. H&R are a bit lower than the VWR.

Thanks Stu,

Had the H&R on my R32 and they were quality.

I'm a big fan of VWR kit but to be honest I think a quality spring is only there for the ride and the height and it's not as if you can see the branding like on brakes.

I think H&R have been the most popular choice for the last five years and never had any reported issues

I wouldn't always take it as granted of saying because it was on car x its going to be great on car y based on my experiences last year

Prefered for the scirocco yes, but have been seriously questioned for the golf R mk7 for numerous reasons which I can imagine might damage their reputation

How much lower than standard does H&R and VWR lower by? Is there much difference in comfort?

I believe it's about 30/35mm
Not much change in comfort so I'm told.
