Bluetooth problem

Post by to78hhfc »

Recently my scirocco has decided not to pair my iphone 6 via bluetooth. Can't seem to pair again, doesn't give me an option. Worked all fine before, not sure what happend. Still have VW Phone on my bluetooth list on my iphone, but fails to connect! Any idea why? I hate the radio!

Give this a go - forget / delete any phones / devices from the bluetooth system. Once done, jump into your iPhone and navigate to 'Reset network settings' (make sure bluetooth is off for this). Once done, if the phone doesn't automatically reboot, shut it down yourself via a hard reset (hold home button and power button together until power off). Switch the phone on, if bluetooth is on, toggle it off or now - switch on the car, turn bluetooth on and start searching - hopefully you should see your bluetooth system and connect without any further issues.

iOS8 had a lot of bluetooth issues that are now sorted with the latest release, but if you updated the software whilst you had a working bluetooth connection the profile may have corrupted due to the botched release of 8.0.1.

Let me know if that helps. It's worth noting that reset network settings will delete all your stored WiFi passwords etc, you'll need to reconnect afterwards :D

I can't seem to bring up the bluetooth settings, I'm scrolling through using the steering wheel and this option is simply not showing up (attached):

I had it before!

Just including my 2p here, I could be wrong.... check the cable!! Locate the module under your seat and just ensure the bluetooth cables are all inserted find

Any idea how I identify the bluetooth cable? I'm literally clueless when it comes to things like this

it's under the seat in a polystyrene box. There should be a cable running into it
