Ordered 24th Feb (Day before price increase) told estimated build time of 8 weeks and should have it delivered by week 19.
Dealer phoned me up yesterday to say it has been built and is waiting shipping but should have to wait another 2 - 3 weeks! :eyepop:
Suppose to be selling my current car tommorow so I'm going to be carless.
Gunna try to blag getting a courtasy car off them since I am spending over 20k
Any one else tried this?

Hi all, my build week has been confirmed as 19 (this week). Does anyone know if it is likely to be delivered before end of may, i currently have an 07 Golf GTI that needs taxing at the end of the month. How come the lead times are going up and why are they so long in the first place, are VW just not churning them out fast enough!

Mine was ordered on the 26th march and I still havn't heard from the dealer about build weeks so will probably ring him myself this week. Personally hope it's week 22 or after so I get the latest alterations but don't want to go too far past that. Here's hopeing.

Hi all, ordered 1st of april spoke to the dealer yesterday and he still cant give me a build week. is this because he dont know how to find it out, or are all the other dealers just guessing based on lead times.

Had another call today to say the car is finally on the boat. Do you guys know how long it usually takes for it to dock in UK and to the dealers?

Order mine LHD Scirocco today (12 May) at a UK dealership. Dealer said a safe prediction is beginning of August but with more luck - mid July. Can't wait!!!

Hi

I don't mean to pry but I have a couple of questions if you don't mind
If I'd known I could order LHD in UK it might have saved me a few Euros with the exchange rate

You've ordered a LHD from the UK, Did you have any trouble getting the dealer to order LHD?

Is it UK spec or some other country spec ?

will it be registered in the UK or another country?

If it's another country I guess you buy tax free in UK then pay the import tax in the destination country ?

Thanks in advance

Apparently not all dealers deal with LHD but I guess all that have a corporate/tax-free team would be able to do it. I was transferred to such an office & had no problems (so far).

It is a UK spec by the UK price list.

It comes with temporary license plates (60 days) and I would have to make a temporary car insurance.

I am buying tax-free as a personal export and exporting to another EU country, so no tariffs. Paying the VAT in destination country. I could pay taxes in the UK but it would mean that the dealer would have to switch the lights and the speedo for UK use (they are legally constrained), which would have to be done again in the destination country - expensive and pointless.

Sorry for going off-topic.

Ordered the Roc on 24th Feb. Phoned me up today to say expecting delivery next week and aiming for collection on Sat 23rd.
I enquired about accessories (pedals, sills & mats) earlier and he told me how much it would be (about £350) I asked since the delivery has been delayed a month from the quoted 2 month delivery if he could help me out on the price. He promptly replied 'NO' and that he can't negotiate on accessories.
Just wondering if anyone else has managed to get money off of any accessories from the dealer?
Thx.

I saw a notice in the Parts department of the local dealer and it had a 20% discount for trade, so thats Bull**it they were telling you...
