Hello,
Anyone know if it is possible to reset the check engine light on dash?
Fitted induction kit to the car and obviously didn't tighten up one of the MAF section silicon pipe jubilee clamps enough as I was driving fine for about 3 days then light came on, opened bonnet and saw the bloody thing just sat there hanging loose
guess the light came on as the airflow over MAF was too A) warm and B) little .... car runs fine so I doubt its anything more sinister than this mistake so I'd like to clear it and if it comes back then I will get it looked into further.
Oh and it is a "MAF Safe" Ramair induction kit if anyone wants to know.
thanks in advance
Will

Re: Reset check engine light??
If you disconnect the battery for a period it should reset the light. Please note though, the ESP light might come on when you re-connect but should go out when you drive the car once the steering angle sensor has calibrated. If it's not the headunit the car left the factory with, you may need the code.
Other option is to reset with VCDS or a generic OBD2 tool.

Re: Reset check engine light??
thanks for the response,
yeah I know about the OBD2 tool but dont have one to hand to reset.
The light actually went out itself after some more driving so I guess the MAF sent the ECU the correct signal and it turned it off.
I will remember the batt disconnect trick tho for future
