Nice R and nice mods! As for DSG map, they're quite dear and I don't know if it would really be worth it. I've heard REVO are better than APR for DSG maps, but completely the opposite when it comes to engine remaps

Lovely looking car. Wouldn't mind hearing you exhaust, as thinking of buying the exact same one. I'll keep a look out for anymore pics you do so I can see the tips.

DSG remap is supposed to be really good if you track the car. As you can keep control of the gears, without the car overriding your selection. Slightly different optimal her change level. This is based on a Revo remap, didn't have it done to mine in the end but went in a stage 3 Mk5 golf ED30 which had it.

Nice job with the car so far.

Thanks guys, Had my Pro alloy intercooler fitted now and the quality is amazing all hand made at Pro alloy and fitted. The welding is amazing and really good materials used, looks so much better than some others Ive seen from china etc. Also having a custom cold air intake made up to replace my VWR one with bigger 80mm piping.

Heres some pics..

Hopefully going Stage 2 or 2 + (depending if i get a HPFP in time) but not sure how far to take it, the car is really fast now and don't want to run too much power through the front wheels. Anyone here stage 2+ that can share there views? also looking at TTRS brake upgrade or just run some racing / fast road pads, anyone using aftermarket pads on standard R brakes ??

Thanks Jim

Lovely car, that intercooler looks awesome!

Luke.08 has a Stage 2+ R running DSG. Been in the car and wow... it pulls amazingly, it may be worth speaking to him about a brake upgrade as he recently did his.

Also, if you're selling your VWR intake let me know as I'm very interested :)

Not updated for a while but there has been a few changes to the Rocco. I decided to upgrade the brakes first, I went for the Ferodo DS2500 pads front and rear with Goodridge braided line with RBF 600 fluid, and just had my OE discs skimmed. It a really good stage 1 brake upgrade if you don't want to spend ££££ on a bbk.

The DS2500s when warm bite really well and don't fade as quick, when braking from low speeds mine do squeak quite alot which turns a few heads! Now some crap iphone pics

Also got some new wheels, wanted some BBS CH-Rs but ending up finding some 19x8j BBS CK in gun metal grey. Now fitted with 15mm spacers at the front and 20mm at the rear. :)

Awesome ride :)
How do you find the 8j wheels compared to 8.5j? Any significant difference in handling?

Nice wheels I've recently purchased the same ones but I had them powdercoated in gloss black. I'm running 8.5j all round for mine with ET35, flush with the arches and sits nicely.

Yeah i had to have BBS lol ive spaced them out now so still sit the same as my 8.5

Took a trip down to AMD Tuning in Essex on Saturday for a stage 2 map, car made 343.5bhp and 370ib/ft. pulls hard now low and mid range very happy with the results. Was going to get the DSG flash as well but im still in two minds.

Got my silver bits sprayed in gloss black now , looks so much better imo. Also managed to knock up a heat shield at work between jobs :hyper: and have all my Pro Alloy pipe work done, sounds like it wants to suck people off the pavement now!
