Re: New facelift order
That's expensive enough, thanks, does it make the diesel sound much better, I have a 140 TDi,

Re: New facelift order
tried the vwr induction kit this weekend def a bit more responsive than standard airbox but just a bit to much induction noise for a 51 year old roc owner so im putting it for sale in the for adds section so grab a bargain

Hi,
Hope you don't mind me asking...
I'm thinking of ordering in the next couple of weeks.
I was going to pay cash – with a dealer negotiated discount – he has already mentioned the extra £1500 for the finance.
So what you did is basically a loop-hole? VW don't ask for the deposit contribution back?
And also, at what point do you sign the finance agreement? As you need to withdraw within 14 days of signing.

Re: New facelift order
I signed the papers when I collected my car it was a bit confusing to start with as I try and change my cars every 2 years and as like you I pay cash, I borrowed about 17650 on paper the car was nearly 27650 i got 20'000 for my golf but on paper I only got 10'000 then the garage Paid me the remaining 10,000 back about a week later plus the 1500 I then paid the finance off I think it cost me £ 30 interest so it cost me 6150 to change and you still keep the 3 years free servicing hope that helps
I def called the finance in the first week to withdraw from the agreement then you have a couple of week to settle it and you have to do it by bank transfer

Re: New facelift order
Thanks for the info. I've found a few forums (including Audi) with people discussing taking the VAG deposit contribution and then withdrawing from the agreement.
It just seems like it's doing something wrong, stupid I know.

Re: New facelift order
the sales guys said that a lot of people settle the agreement like I did but there is more who just pay the payments so its a happy medium with vw

Re: New facelift order
Cheers for the induction kit, I see what you mean about the noise but I actually really like it. It's more responsive like you said and just seems to pick up the turbo faster. For me it's a really good buy.lesvw123 wrote:tried the vwr induction kit this weekend def a bit more responsive than standard airbox but just a bit to much induction noise for a 51 year old roc owner so im putting it for sale in the for adds section so grab a bargain

Re: New facelift order
Here is a quick picture just pulled it out of the garage for a photo and back in again for the adhesive to set
I will post a better pic when it's next out I just didn't want to disturb the adhesive
They recommend to paint the middle lower part black what's your opinion I'm thinking of carbon wrapping the center lower part
