Is anyone else annoyed?
Having just purchased the new facelift Scirocco and spent the extra to upgrade the head unit in the hope that VW finally cracked its inability to charge the iPhone 6 and bluetooth at the same time, I am now spitting feather to find out they have finally turned round and put technology they already had before the facelift (MIB2) in the car. I am now stuck with an old 2008 head and the feeling VW have just massively mugged me off. Don't get me wrong I love the car just as shame they didn't think it was right to change the head unit at the same time as the facelift.
Even when contacting VW technical the advise given was to keep in contact with my dealer who would be able to give me a software update for my system once they had worked out how to get post iPhone 5's working. From this latest move it seems they knew it was never going to work and wanted to shift old stock.
Pissed off!!!

can't understand why you're getting this issue , I've got a 59 plate with no issues , can play bluetooth audio, can play through the media slot, and if you disable the media in slot it charges the phone and plays from blue tooth at the same time

I thought the new software (MIB II) was only going to be put in cars ordered from the end of May / start of June?

Robb I haven't tried that. I always find myself having to juggle between bluetooth for phone and music or charging. Even in my old 59 plate rocco the head unit use to crash. How do you disable the media in slot?
Andyy: Your right but its just the fact why update everything else and not change the head unit to the next generation until nearly a year in to production?
