Wheel fitment
Hi guys, new to the Scirocco world about 6 weeks ago now, loving every second! Been looking at summer wheels, found the perfect set but wasn't sure if they would fit nicely or rub... They are 18x9.5 et35? Any help would be amazing! Thank you!

Wheel fitment
All round ?
They might poke out very slightly, wait and let me have a think.
Assuming 8.5" et 30 is about flush.
That would make them poke about 20mm.
Someone else could confirm, in fairly new to sciroccos I've only had mine 3 months.
Stretched tyres and camber ?

Re: Wheel fitment
Well I have 9j all round and run et 29 front and et 26 rear. Now this is mm perfect when dropped on air, not a fag papers gap between the arch.
Now by my math you will poke about 6mm more on from and 3 mm on rear. As long as your not ridiculously low if say they will sit well. Very flush but will look good.
Hope this helps.
Also check out wheel calculator, put in your old and new specs and it'll tell you the difference between!

Re: Wheel fitment
I think I underestimated what was flush !
I'll have a look at that calculator, I could do with some spacers.

9.5 et 35 fits fine, but go for 19's at least. The arches on the Scirocco are huuuge....
Used to run 9-19 et 33 and 9.5-20 et 36 on my Scirocco

Hey. I am thinking about buying new winter rims. But I have an option to buy AMG wheels for summer set and use my Interlagos-set as a winter set.
But the new set would be 8.5x18" ET52 front and 9x18" ET52 rear. Can someone verify if these will fit or not? I know they will be very far from flush, but the outer rim will be very near the orginal Interlagos. So for my daily driver with the stock DCC suspension, it wouldn't be a problem.
Spacers are a no-go, they are illegal in my country.

Re: Wheel fitment
Stock wheels on the Scirocco are not ET51 but ET41. The Golf is ET51
With what you propose the wheels will sit too far in and probably foul on the strut.

Typoed the stock ET in the post, it was correct in the picture. Fixed it.Cuprabob wrote:Stock wheels on the Scirocco are not ET51 but ET41. The Golf is ET51
Yes, that is what I am afraid. That's why I am asking if someone knows.Cuprabob wrote: With what you propose the wheels will sit too far in and probably foul on the strut.
