Alloy refurb in the south east

Post by Phil »

Sadly the Savannahs need refurbing. In the space of 6 months i have:

* Had to mount a kirb to give way to an ambulance
* Had a bus driver refuse to wait to give way to me (my right of way i should add), after long row and traffic had no choice but no mount the kirb and do it again.
* Caught a kirb myself
* Been crashed into whilst stationary and only damage was scuffing to my wheel.

They are a diamond cut finish im led to believe and need somewhere good and cheap(ish) in the southeast :yes:

Given the Savannahs are a desirable wheel personally when diamond cut is involved i'd dig a little deeper and get a proper job done to keep their inherent value should you want to sell later

Two firms who always have a good reputation are Lepsons http://www.lepsons.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; in Kent or Pristine http://www.pristinealloywheels.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; in Milton Keynes, they have a number of options for dealing with them which may suit in terms of pick up and collection

Pristine alloy wheels are very good, they don't just repaint your alloys but precision machine them if they have defects or light damage.

They also lend you a set of alloys, so you can carry on driving your car in the mean time.

Pristine will charge an extra 20 quid for a wheel with tyres on but won't put them back on for anyone interested.

Yeh shame really as i was about to sign on the dotted line haha. Went for lepsons as they are good and will put the tyres back :rolleyes:

Even then i asked if they would mind swapping over to my spares as my jack is nowhere to be found and would rather not use the standard VW one, they wanted £40.... bit of a joke to be honest.

Lepsons in Gillingham are excellent (and they remove and refit the tyre).
