Just wondering if there are any aftermarket replacements out there that doesn't have a shady resolution or touch delays.

Hi,

I searched for ages and researched a lot before buying my unit.

Its AMAZING!! looks and feels factory.

Has everything, sat nav, dvd, cd, blutooth with phone book etc, works with steering wheel buttons, displays everything in MFD, reverse camera, wicked menu layouts etc etc

Absolute bargain £300

That looks like a good one to be fair.

Do u have an Internet connection ? How does that work ? Would u need to take out a contract on a wifi dongle ?

AVOID AVOID AVOID

they are crap, layouts are rubbish and also take for years to start up!!!

By the time the radio loads you will be at work lol.

It comes with a wifi dongle, all you do is setup wifi hotspot on your phone and it connects to it automatically when you get in your car, i dont use it tbh though. Faster on your phone.

I bought the car with one of these:

http://www.auto-electronics.com/index.p ... ns-vw.html

To be totally honest I've not been overwhelmed by the unit and I'm actually looking to replace it. It does all the functions and more I would expect but I just feel it could be a little better. Its been useful to watch DVDs etc. in the car tho!

I'm looking at getting this:

http://www.auto-electronics.com/index.p ... n6-vw.html

The main reason being the better Bluetooth (Parrot) and actual twin fakra connection on the rear. Don't suppose anyone on here has the Dynavin that could comment on it?

I looked @ both of them, the veyron looked cheap and felt cheap, also menu layout was clearly chinese crap.

The dynavin is a lot better but if your looking for as close to factory with look, feel and menus then get same as mine.

Like I said, I'm not overwhelmed by it! Could definitely do what it does better, that aside its worked flawlessly for me. Looks very similar to the one you've linked, all be it a slight variation on the menu. I would presume it probably suffers the same flaw having a single standard aerial connection. I've tried several different splitters/connectors for the fakra but its never been OEM quality reception. Hopefully the Dynavin's dual connection will help with this.

Are these types of units "plug and play" as suggested by the sellers?

Scirocco1984 - That ebay seller is no longer selling that head unit. What make and model is that which you have, or is it an unbranded generic model? In your research did you come across anything else sub £500 which you could recommend?

Cheers
