I may be dumb here but how can I use the gearbox I have? I have a ex army landrover and can see there are different outputs and couldn't see where a prop to rear diff would attach.
Your landy is fixed permanent AWD designed to be such from the outset vs the approach VW adopted of factory modification.
The rear PTO on a DSG box is part of transfer case and separate (but attached) the main gear box in theory it's possible to marry a AWD t-case with a slightly modified FWD box. This has apparently been done in US with a jetta. Starting with a used AWD unit fully assembled will obviously be cheaper but modifying would less expensive than buying a new built up AWD box.

How it works, the difference and so on?
basically sends equal power to each wheel, or whichever wheel has the most grip. Excellent for cornering, a diff will make absolutely no difference in a straight line. But for cornering my god they are amazing! One of the best mods you can do.
Although Quaife are a fair amount cheaper and excellent for road use! Plus I have a trade account with them so get discount

I will try and find a tdc write up on the wavetrack for drag use. It uses a different way of controlling the power compared to Quaife or the others available. Not sure how but I remember it did give better drag times in a straight line as well.
