2015 Radio Face Plate

Post by coatesd »

Hi

Has anyone removed the radio and air con face plate from a facelift 2015 scirocco, I have removed one from the older version but the aircon controls look as though they may need to be removed first.

Not had chance to look in detail yet but though I would ask if anyone had removed one first.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes I recently fit a new head unit to mine, you don't need to remove the aircon controls.

Just get a trim removal tool and slip it in just above the aircon control on the side and gently prise it will pop free, follow it around all the way and it will come free.

Be careful around the vents as it is very thin, mine didn't release from the vents properly, but they slid out still attached to the fascia, I didn't fancy forcing it off, I was too scared of breaking it.

Its a bit awkward working with the vents attached, but better than forcing it.

Glad you got it out safely.
