Hi,
Been after a scirocco now for a few years and am now in a position to buy one.
Looking to spend around 13k so obviously going be a used model.
Struggling to decide which model to choose though
Will be doing about 6-10k miles a year and was swaying towards diesel but the 140tdi seems a bit slow on the 0-60.
Had some quotes and insurance seems to be a couple of hundred quid in it between petrol and diesel models.
Any one care to comment on which one to get, and I know people will have different views.
Also how many posts do you have to make to view classifieds, would not mind taking a look:)
Cheers
Dave

6-10k a year doesn't seem like a lot. Would you not be better going for the 2.0tsi?
Maybe I'm just biased ha.

I would also say the 2.0 TSI and I'm certainly not biased as I have a diesel. Diesel is a great car but your mileage doesn't really warrant it.

Another biased opinion, 2.0tsi all the way! As above good economy if you take it easy and a good smile factor when you don't! You won't regret it.

You won't get an R with 6-10k miles for £13k on any year.luc1989 wrote:Get the R,but I'm not biased)

This. I don't do many miles, had a diesel and sure it was thrifty but the increased expense of a petrol car now seems cheap compared to how much more fun I'm having driving it. I'm assuming you're not buying a Scirocco because you don't give a damn and just want to pootle along...Cuprabob wrote:I would also say the 2.0 TSI and I'm certainly not biased as I have a diesel.
