Launch control on 1.4TSI DSG?
Hi,
How does launch control work on the 1.4 DSG? I tried the instructions from the roccopedia but what I get is the car straining against the brakes, and the rpm less than 1000. When I release the brake the car moves just like it would normally. Am I missing something?
Thanks, best regards

OK,
Pull up at lights, stop line etc, put left foot on brake pedal, put car into S, disengage traction control then with your right foot plant the accelarator. the revs should rise to around 3000 rpm whilst you have both brake and throttle pressed. When you are reaqy to go, just release the brake and away you go. You may need to modulate the throttle to avoid wheelspin, less of an issue in the 1.4 I would guess, the 2.0 litre will light the tyres up easily if you do this and do not feather the throttle accordingly.
makes for some fast getaways.

I tried the lauch control yesterday!!!
Very interesting although I was a little concerned at the amount of whell spin I generated!!! Had to ease off on the accelerator and then forgot to push it further down when it slipped into second!! Doh!
It still felt quite quick thoughh
