Do you wave?

Post by Les Burum »

I wondered if any of you give a nod / wave to other Roc drivers? I was passed by a guy today on the A30 heading back to Cornwall so I thought I'll acknowledge my fellow Roc owner. Nothing, not a flinch. Not even a glance at my shiny new motor. Most disappointed. :(

Same here, I used to when the Roc was a much rarer car, but hardly any acknowledgements so I gave up! :(

Think the only wave I got was when I saw Deagol in St Austell, Cornwall 2012! :-)

When I had my VW Lupo I got many waves from fellow drivers. Not had one since I've had the Roc, definitely will keep trying though..

Same here. I've only had one wave back and that was when I saw BenBAC. Otherwise everyone looks at me like I'm a nutter so I gave up. Every now and then I'll pass someone who's obviously looking and probably would have waved, but it's usually too late by the time I realise and then I feel disappointed I didn't. >_<

I do to folk with modified ones, even just debadged ones you know that person probably cares more than the norm. Had a 50/50 success rate so far!

After reading this thread I spent the week waving to Roc drivers. I have only seen 3 and 1 one driver did actually wave back.

Maybe if enough people do this we can change the Roc culture.

i wave loads and do pretty well! probably 1 in 3 wave or flash back. always puts a smile on the chops. people with grey hair generally don't wave back. or salesmen.

Live and work in bristol - there are SO MANY rocs here and it's a pointless exercise waving. I do look though, but never even get a glimpse back...

So I resort to smirking at drivers who clearly still have their DRLs stuck in the on position :D
