Just noticed:
Pushing the gas pedal down til it stops, it will shift at 6.000 rpm
BUT if You push the pedal some more, it goes a little bit further, and will now shift around 7.000 rpm = redline!

That is a traditional auto function called "kickdown". Fun isn't it?

Yeah, DSG pedals have an extra little thing behing the pedal, that acts as a stop, but will press a little further.
