I noticed this piece of trim doesn't fit very well on my car and it's clearly been glued into place in the past so I'm just wondering if anyone knows what it's for and if it would cost much to sort out the fact that it doesn't fit?
Thanks.
Anyone know what this bit of the engine is?

I also noticed that the bonnet holder doesn't stay in place when it's down.
I'm thinking one of these things could be responsible for my weird rattling.

It's part of the air intake. As for replacement it depends how much of it needs replacing. I wonder if someone has broken it not knowing what they were doing, or it's had an aftermarket intake on it and it's been returned to stock when the car was sold on. Sorry can't help with a price.

As above, it's part of the air intake and just slides and clips in place. Possibly one of the clips is broken.
If bonnet stay isn't clipping down in place it can certainly rattle.

As above its part of the air intake. Think it's about £15 for the top section. If the bonnet stay rattles maybe try some heat shrink on prop to take out any slop where it stays in the front panel

Advertise on the forum buy/sell section and someone may sell you one! When upgrading, people will sell their OEM wheels, exhausts etc, so I can't see any reason why someone wouldn't sell this

My bonnet stay rod rattled at approx 1200 / 1400 rpm, moving or stationery. Get a bit of bath sponge & jam it under the rod - rattle gone !Ajlcomputers wrote:I also noticed that the bonnet holder doesn't stay in place when it's down.
