My Candy White Scirocco

Post by jtbrown »

Pretty standard really, just a few small mods like the red grille stripe and carbon fibre mirror covers. I'll consider changing some more once my insurance is nearing renewal.

Mine's started to peel off now, right in the middle... must have missed a spot when cleaning! Got about 4 meters of the stuff, so i'm tempted to re-apply this weekend.

I'm a bit of a Starwars fan, and Candy white Sciroccos looks a bit storm-trooperish so decided this was a fitting decal.

Will do if I ever fancy a bit of a change, quite like my truffle leather. Think it's a bit like marmite, some people at work take the piss, others love it!

Just polished by hand, would like to get a machine but don't trust myself not to wreck the paint ;)

Lol nice results from a good hand job

I'm in the same boat. Havnt bought a machine polisher in case I mess the paint up.

Regarding the storm trooper bit. I also got told it looks like a storm troopers car when I joined a different forum. A few people made that comment.

I bought this, felt like it was a bit over the top sticking the whole thing to the car so I pulled his head off :)

Looks very nice, jealous of those headlights!

Where did you get your mirror caps from if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks, I love the OEM bi-xenons too. Look nice in the dark! Shame mine are a bit stone chipped, tempted to look for a kit to repair them. Thinking of replacing all of the other bulbs with LED's which are a similar blueish colour.

They're not actually caps, they are covers (stick on top of the mirror caps). Bought them on ebay thinking they were caps. They look great from a distance / and up close if you're in front of the car, but you can see that they're stick on from inside the car. Main positive is that they're genuine carbon fibre, and do a good job protecting from stone chips ;)

8mm Red Vinyl Stripe - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170516440550

Got a 2 for 1 offer at the moment so if you buy 1 meter you'll get 2. It's pretty tricky to get the tape on so i'd recommend buying 4 meters or so, then you've got some extra for the future if it starts to peel or gets chipped.

Deep down secretly I like the look of sticker bombing. Didn't really want to go all out and cover an entire panel, so...
