Hats off to the guys at Darkside for going further than anyone else of the Tdi tuning, but realistically I cannot justify around £5k-£7k on a big turbo conversion with all the associated bits like diff, clutch, intercooler etc. that is especially when anything above 250bhp I was told I would have to expect smoke.
I have been negotiating with the dealer on trading my 63 plate in and hopefully will sign for a brand new R in white tomorrow. I have gone for manual again and did a deal so I keep my new 20 inch wheels which I love.
If these cars are 280 hp standard, can someone say before I research what I could expect from a revo map and an air intake? I will go higher later but just thinking of the basics straight away to make it more fun than standard.
For all the diesel die hard please feel free to tar and feather me for being a deserter.
