So now I installed my Defa warmup kit that I purchased last week.

Muska that looks brilliant - warm feet as soon as you get in
Given it was a pretty but cold day I spent minimal time outside with Walter but had to give him his Christmas present !

I finally gave mine a bit of much needed TLC. Seats hoovered and cleaned. Dash given a once over. Chrome exhaust pipes are now looking great again after looking black for the last few months. Next job - install some black VW badges.

I installed my new Bosch AeroTwin A980S wiper blades. I just hope they're better than the OEM ones.

I bought these awhile back aswell. At 1st they was really good and stoped the horrible smearing on the passenger side but now its back to how it use to be . Really bad smearing that wont clear unless you wipe the glass with a glass cleaner or shampoo when washing the car.

This is what i didn't need to hear :shake: I've read smearing is a problem with most Scirocco's. Maybe i'll just have to grin and bear it. ANNOYING!!!

They are better than oem. And for a while it stoped the smearing. But iv tried everything. New wiper blades , and even clayed the windscreen. Drivers side is fine its just the passenger side is a right pain in the ass.

I had to go and purchase some new wiper blades because some absolute spoon obviously had a bit too much to drink last night and snapped mine off. Great start to 2015.

Where did you get them from? I got mine from http://www.wiperblades.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. They are much cheaper than places like Halfords. Quick delivery as well.

Also found the aeroblades to be great at first, but with me, whilst the smearing didn't come back the squeaking/rubbing did. Changed them for OEM ones; they produce a hazy smear before clearing, but don't squeak/rub. Been okay on that score since September.

Seems that no-one's happy with the Roc blades set-up. I've cleaned my screen with alcohol, hard water cleaner, have clayed bar it, etc. Nothing seems to solve the smearing issue.
