Accident Advice
I was invoiced in a RTA on an untreated road over Xmas. What I do know is that there doesn't appear to be damage to the axle, wheel, radiator and the air bags didn't go off. It looks mostly cosmetic, however I would appreciate advice on whether this looks to be a WO. I had to turn the engine off after the collision so I am hopeful there isn't damage there. Currently in the waiting for the assessor limbo.
Gutted doesn't explain how i feel. Photo link below.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

That's nowhere near being a right off.

Re: Accident Advice
Assuming there is no underlying damage, it.just looks like a new bumper, N/S wing, lights and a bonnet. All of which bolt straight on.aaron4842 wrote:A reasonably quick fix?

Re: Accident Advice
Thanks for your advice. Thats what my gut feeling was. I hit a ford ranger at roughly 20mph so it withstood a fair bash.

Re: Accident Advice
Just make sure it's repaired at a VAG approved bodyshop in order to maintain the corrosion warranty intact. I would insist on this irrespective of where your insurance company want it fixed.

Re: Accident Advice
It was a write off. Underlying damage to suspension and below the bonnet.

Re: Accident Advice
Sorry to.hear that although probably the best for the longterm as a "repaired" car never feels quite right again.

Provisionally going to see a 177 GT TDI in white with full leather so quite nice. Do you own this model?

Re: Accident Advice
I own MY2012, 170 GT which is the preceding vsriant to both the.177 and 184 variants. Good compromise between performance and economy, in my opinion.
