What is the OEM battery
Does anyone know what brand the car battery is for the Scirocco? My car is currently at the garage and I was wondering what are the best batteries I could put on the car other than the OEM. I was hoping to fit a Bosch or a Varta but unsure what the OEM ones are.

I like bosch silver top batteries. Never had any issues with them. So no need to know what oem battery is if your going to change it regrdless

Getting one of those S5's fitted today... its the best Bosch battery, but the Exide Premium is very comparible

Just be aware that the larger battery means you can't have the stupid foam surround. the plastic cover from a mk5 fits though.TriGGER wrote:Getting one of those S5's fitted today... its the best Bosch battery, but the Exide Premium is very comparible

Recently changed my battery from a 61ah to 74ah (S5 007) but as stated above the foam surround is now too small. Do you think this would fit?
