Blagged a Scirocco for the Day

Post by JMcQueen »

I've managed to blag a Scirocco for the day tomorrow (expect an extended lunch hour!) and was just wondering if people had any suggestions of things I should try out in it. Also, how do you adjust the suspension between the three settings? wheres the switch (dont want to look like an idiot and have to ask the dealer).

The switch is very obvious, located just in front of the gear stick / DSG gear selector. It has a picture of a little person on it, with the words COMFORT and SPORT on it also. Simply press it to cycle through the different modes. The middle 'person' is NORMAL suspension setting.

JMcQueen, if you are on a decent stretch of dual carriageway with a consitent surface and toggle through the ACC settings you really notice the differencs in the damping settings as you will have a contant benchmark, then you can go off and play in the corners, my other suggestion is drive it like its not yours ;)

My Golf was in for some work and they didnt have a courtesy car available until a week later so I asked if I could borrow their sales demonstrator for the day and they said yes. I had it from 9 until 5 so not a full 24 hour day if you like but a working one. Got a good run out in my lunch hour. The down side was it was a TDI the upside being the DSG. It was mainly the handling and the gearbox I wanted to check anyway.

How did you find the DSG on the TDI?
I have driven the 2.0 TSI with it and found it excellent, there were no TDI demonstrators around when I was looking for a run in one.
