Tune2Air Bluetooth module through MDI

Post by jensu »

Hi!

Came across a Bluetooth module called Tune2Air (or "ViseeO Tune2Air WMA1000" to be exact). I got quite curious since my car isn't factory equipped with Bluetooth. Apparently you attach the module to the MDI cable and it's supposed to work just like factory Bluetooth.

I've browsed a few Audi forums (since they appear mainly to be designed for Audi). Audi uses a "AMI MMI" cable to attach the module which seems to be the Audi name for VW's "MDI" (which would make sense since they're both VAG). Apparently the module seems to work just fine, haven't read about any problems at all.

Any thoughts? Has anyone on here tried one? Yay or nay?

They are currently on sale through the ViseeO-site if anyone else is interested – £54,99 with free worldwide shipping.

I have one but not for my Roc. Very reliable bit of kit for Bluetooth audio streaming. Ideal for cars with Bluetooth telephone kits that don't support A2DP but have MDI/MMI. It supports track names and allows you to flick through the songs like a connected iPod, if you're on apple devices.

I installed one of these last week, well, plugged it in! Sound quality is fantastic for £25 & turns on/off with ignition & syncs to phone without any button pressing required. [url= ... B009NLTW60

Nice find! I've been looking for an alternative option as my scirocco doesn't have factory fitted bluetooth and wasn't looking to cough up almost £400 for the bluetooth kit and installation fee (not confident in doing the install myself) :hide:

Hopefully if it's as good as it says it is i'll be placing an order. Found as site that selling it for only £49

I have finally received my Tune2Air and must say that I couldn't be happier. No installment, simply plug-and-play into the MDI, turn on Bluetooth on your tablet and choose "Tune2Air" - done. Works like a dream (or at least as good as factory Bluetooth). Get one if you haven't already.

Got mine today, and it works brilliantly. For £53, highly recommended. Was up and running in about 10 seconds.
