Christmas tree carrying!

Post by Hithere »

It's early i know. Got at least month until this needs to happen!

Has anyone done to tree collection with a Scirocco? I imagine you won't get more than a 5ft tree in there with the seats down.

This is a very seasonal problem to have i guess, but one of the negatives of tiny cars!

Hithere Hithere!

Easy! I don't bother these days with a real tree, but I have carried one, so long as it is contained in one of those nets it fits in easily. Not sure I would class a Scirocco as 'tiny' though! :)

Just get them to net it for you. I got a 7 footer in mine last year no problem. You can't take anyone else with you though !!

lay front passenger seat as far back as it will go on top of dropped rear and take head rest out. throw a dust sheet over and you cant get 7-8 foot no problem :-) i use mine to carry allsorts :-) i got 2 railway sleepers at 8ft 6inch long in doing it that way. oh and no i didnt and havent marked the dash or boot trims :-)

I got a 7ft tree and passenger in mine last year. Both rear seats down and the top of the tree between the 2 front seats. It did get in the way of the handbrake a little

You can carry a longer tree that way in a DSG car. Another reason for DSG! ;-)
