Dealers want £20 for the rear Scirocco badge for my mates car as someone decided would look good with a gouge right through the middle of it! Can anyone tell me if I can source a new badge cheaper for him?
Also, how are these fitted to ensure they go on straight?

Sorry to hear that. What scum!
Try ebay mate. They have 3 small holes that they line up to and its then held down by double sided tape.

Re: Replacement Scirocco badge
Thanks for the help mate. I didn't mention when they scratched his badge they also did every panel but the roof and bonnet, they even went over the rear taillights, not mentioning it is my way of trying to forget!
Where are the holes located, tailgate has been painted so will the holes have been covered over by the new paint?

Re: Replacement Scirocco badge
There are no holes / indents for the scirocco lettering (only the VW badge) . It comes with backing paper and clear tape on the front .
You need to put a straight edge on the panel ( like a strip on masking tape) then peel off the backing tape on the new badge - leaving the letters stuck to the clear front tape . Line it up against the masking tape and apply to the panel .
And yes - it's a bugger of a job..

I didn't realise it was the scirocco lettering badge. I thought he was talking about the main vw badge.uklee wrote:There are no holes / indents for the scirocco lettering (only the VW badge) . It comes with backing paper and clear tape on the front .
