Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
Pics tomorrow Devil - today I took him to a wedding and i noticed a few heads turning and my silver machine swooshed through the Kent countryside
That said I parked in a large car park in Gravesend (site of my pal Tom's wedding) and there were not two but three rocs in the car park - a silver 59, and a white 11, both looked stunningly well looked after too
Any takers ?
Pics of penguin tomorrow - he's not house trained yet !

Walter at work - not immaculate as he's done 150 miles since the pre winter clean but they were dry miles !
No pics of the roc hopper - took them earlier but they came out rubbish !
Got to get the wheels off this coming weekend as there's some nasty sticky black stuff just beyond reach of my wheel woollies & I want to get a decent coat of protection on the rims before the council start they're annual salting !

First MOT done...but it needed a new tyre. Tax disc removed. 30,000 mile service done.
Rear Cup holder installed (thanks to Lee's how to guide).
Next is a deep clean but I'm still reading up on everyone's cleaning techniques to get the best method!

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
I LOVE cleaning my car mate! With it being white I don't get as much satisfaction as I have done with previous cars which have always been a darker colour.
But then again, I've never done it "properly" as there seems to be so many different methods and stages etc. I'll search his posts and see what I can find. Thanks

Unfortunately I've been subjected to one of these while mime is at vw getting a couple of scrapes to the drivers door sill repaired that wasn't spotted in the PDI (or caused by the dealer) and a rattle that's recently appeared.

At least it wasn't an Up.selleym wrote:Id walk home
I have a feeling I'm going to appreciate getting back in the scirocco even more now. I get a whole different kind of stare from other drivers in the tank.

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
That's it he says
Just a quick 2bm this evening BUT in anticipation of removing all the wheels tomorrow in prep for winter I removed all of my alloy wheel nut covers washed them down with G101 and a tooth brush then gave them a quick once over with some chemical Guys plastic treatment gel - even remembered to separate the lockers from the non (on a zip tie) and left off until I've finished tomorrow - which I believe will be a LONG day cleaning - with maybe a break for cutting the lawn
BTW AMG - there is no correct method if at the end of the day the car is clean and you are happy ! But expect to spend some serious wedge obtaining "happy" !

So you have been cleaning your wheel nut covers with a toothbrush and yet you call me obsessive ..Roc Hopper wrote:That's it he says

Sounds like a plan you have for tomorrow. I need to do a winter detail but cba. I might either just wash the car tomorrow or take the wheels off one by one and wash and protect them with my wheel wax auto finesse mint rims. Hmmmm...

3 hours later and I finally installed the first mod on my car. Installed the forge twintake. Loving the look of cf in my engine bay.

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
Had to take out my license plate LED's and put my OEM ones back in due to them flickering. When i inspected them, a couple of the LED's were not working on both. They lasted only a couple of months.
