Reflex Silver 2.0 GT TSI

Post by Benjjjjjjjj »

Hi Everyone!

Totally new to the forum this is my first post simply to introduce myself and my car!

My names Ben I'm 20 years old and UK based. Love the whole dub show scene, been traveling up and down the country visiting shows for the past few years in my trusty little 1.2 Fiat Grande Punto

On Saturday someone bought my Punto, within hours of it going I went straight to my work (a car showroom, I am a Valeter/Detailer by trade) and put the deposit down on my Roc!

Went for the Reflex silver 2.0 GT TSI DSG. Figured I hadnt seen many silver ones around and it just really stood out to me. Pick it up on Friday!

In terms of plans I have a list longer than my arm already. After making loads of silly mistakes with the punto I know what route I want to take!

Wanting to fit air ride! Been getting quotes this week and will be booked in as soon as I find the right kit and price for me! Then some sensible good looking daily wheels while I save up for something custom!

Other than that I just want a general clean up, gloss black plastics, white bulbs and HID's, front recess smoothed, side strips colour coded, de-wipered etc etc just the usual bits and bobs!

In terms of engine modifications I am kind of a newbie! With only having a 1.2 in the past I have never had chance to tune anything! So would be nice to have a go! Just wondering what people recommend in terms of decent engine mods to start? Not going to lie, 200bhp is more than enough I just want to bring more of the sound out! any reasonably priced intake kits that give a nice noise? Along with recommended exhausts?

I would leave you with a few pics from the dealership but when I try to upload it says the file is invalid! Any help haha? But yeah like I say, I collect on Friday so will get you some pics then! Hope i have posted in the right section to turn this into a build thread!?

Look forward to hearing from you all,

Thanks :)

Welcome! Congrats on the car - a fair few have on air ride on here so people will be able to help.

As for engine mods, speaking from experience its something id looked into earlier... Mine is a stage 1 revo remap which is easy enough and huge power gains. Have a Milltek Catback which gives it a great sound just need the down pipe. Loads of different air filters used just have a search :)

I'll be hopefully getting mine shortly, will have just turned 22 and getting rid of a 1.2l Polo but like you said, 210hp will be plenty of power, i'm looking to keep it around there for a little while and then when i do tune it, it'll be like a new car.

Post some pics when you got it working. Air ride is a must btw, what you getting quoted?

I agree with Phil. I have a remap and milltek non res cat back too. Very nice noise. Power increase is much better. Much more poke in higher gears. Your insurance will be very dear as it is I'd imagine!
