I posted a few weeks ago with regards to torque figures the the 2.0 litre, they now match the R at 258 with presumably better fuel consumption. Worth a thought, I've a 177 diesel DSG but could well go back to the petrol next time with the diesel like torque in them. I'd be interested to see what new owners of the petrol facelift have to say, apparently that accounts for about 30 percent of sales. This engine being the same as the golf gti is 2 generations on from the R. Happy days!
