What do you guys use to wash your wash mitts? Is it safe to use normal clothing wash products or not?

Never washed my wash mitt. After washing the car I just rinse out my mitt completely then let it air dry.

Cheers folks, devil I thought you might respond to this haha. I usually do the same but I had to wash the wife's car tonight & now it's a bit dirty now instead of nice & white lol

I have allways found rinsing out in warm water has allways done a good enough job.

That's what I did In the end. Just looks very grubby still. I want to wash the roc today too so I hope my drying towel has dried

I put mine in the washing machine with the microfiber towels. I use liquid detergent rather than tablets or powder just in case the tablets don't dissolve 100%.

I'm always nervous I'm going to get in trouble for stinking out the washing machine or kitchen with Iron X or Tardis but I've got away with it so far. I throw the smelliest, dirtiest microfiber cloths away.

My clothes are mostly old now but haven't had much use, I'll replace them soon as I don't like washing them many times.
In fact I think I'll buy a new mitt soon & keep them megs one for the wife's car lol

I demote my old wash mitts to wheel use and use the new one for the rest of the car.

Nothing wrong with washing mits or micro fibres in the washing machine. I use a non bio liquid & a little of that stain remover stuff if needed. You can also add white vinegar to the wash powder draw if you like aswell.

I would avoid washing lambswool wash mitts in washing machines.. it causes the piles to end up rolling up together rendering the wash mitt unsuable.
Wash it in warm water and allow to dry, or if you have a blow drier use that, failing that hang it up in the airing cupboard.

MF towels are OK to wash without any sort of fabric softeners as these can cause the MF towels to not only lose their plush but their absorbent nature as well.

As white devil I also do the same, I usually soak it for a while hand wash it and hang it out to dry
