Engine noise on 2.0 tsi
What does everyone s engine sound like with bonnet up. Diesel ish. Not sure whether to get mine checked or not.

Tbh it's nothing special,with the bonnet up it sounds like any other 4 pot but I wouldn't say it sounds like a diesel.

It's usual for them to sound quite tappety it's due to the high pressure fuel pump and injectors, nothing to worry about tbh :-)

The first time I had the bonnet up with the engine running I thought it sounded very tappy y but after a bit of searching online I found it was normal.
