Thats good going, I saw 48 mpg average on mine the other day, but I was trundling along at about 35mph stuck behind a whole line of traffic for 11 miles. Out of the traffic it dropped to 43mpg (70mph).

I find MPG sticks around 33mpg with a mix of mostly motorway + some urban driving..
40+ mpg is easily achievable although but most motorway runs average about 36MPG

Some great numbers considering the performance, does anyone know how big the fuel tank is on the TSI?

Haha I can imagine! Might be a nice surprise for me though as my current 350z has a 80litre tank [emoji24] on v power every time as well

My running average is 36.4, that's over 7500 miles of generally mixed driving, best was 45.1 which was a long slow run up the A1, worst was 32.2 which was stop/start on the M25 for 2 hours with a P2015 fault!

2nd Gear on the motorway is not recommend
On a serious note what kind of driving do you normally do? 6th gear on the motorway should get you some good mpg in the 140?
