1. While driving this car I feel as if I am driving a really big, significantly more expensive car. The spacious interior, the wonderful leather seats, the feel of the steering and the super-smooth transmission, together with the RCD510 and all the other gadgets, make me feel like I'm in a spaceship. The sound-proofing, even at very high speed, is better than any car I've driven, ever. Altogether highly luxurious and it makes me feel great behind the wheel.
2. Driving this car in horrible Egyptian traffic is bearable because of the nice suspension and how well-isolated I am from outside noise, but moreso because of the smooth DSG transmission which I hardly ever notice shifting. Poking along at 60kmh through radar zones on cruise-control is easy - I don't know how I lived without CC before! When I have a chance/need to overtake, the huge power of this car is a godsend - just squeeze the hammer down and before you can say zig-zag it's done, you are ahead. The ESP is actually very useful here since we often have sand or dust on the road, at times I feel as if I'm in a 4WD vehicle the way it grips.
3. Having been out on some good empty roads outside town today, I can see why the speedometer reads up to 280 - this car was built by VW to go very, very fast. And it can reach very, very fast speeds in a very short time! With the small engine I had the expectation that the RPM's would be ridiculous and the engine noise very high but they're not - when I want it to, the car smoothly and rapidly starts to increase speed and doesn't stop until I run out of road or nerve. And it does this without a fuss - the interior noise level hardly increases, I don't feel any strain from the steering or vibration, the car feels like it's glued to the road. Fantastic. Since it's still new and I am technically still running-in, I hardly ever floor the pedal, so I have yet to get the feeling that this car is straining itself in the slightest. I am the one who has to grow into this car's possibilities, not the opposite.
4. The attention my car gets from people is amusing. Young people seem to recognise it immediately, drivers of other VW cars almost always stop and stare. I've already caught a few foreign tourists taking photos, looking incredulous because in their parts of Europe the car isn't yet available, but here it is in Egypt of all places

In all I am enjoying my unique and exotic car. I think I will go enjoy it more right now.
