1.4 TSI VERSION

Post by andecoro »

Hi

Im going for the 1.4 TSI Scirocco and would be interested in hearing from anyone else who's thinking of buying one.

As it stands Ive put my £500 deposit and now have to wait until the beginning of October when the car will appear on the VW system and I can
then spec it.The delivery date then is supposed to be in Jan 2009. Im the first person to put my name down in the Belfast Dealership for the smaller engine.

I'll keep the forum posted on my progress .

Regards

Don't know of anyone that's ordered one as yet. I know a few are waiting for the Diesel.

You can try a configuration on the German website. If you can't wait

Hi Bluestreak56

Yes I was a bit concerned about the running expenses for the larger engine and the attraction was always the look of the car anyway.
(plus my wife would kill me if I spent over 20K on a car - thats what our first house cost)

I have added the Interlagos wheels and foglights and ended up with the style of car i wanted for the price I wanted to pay.

I have to say I was quite impressed at how little the upgrade on the alloys cost when you lok at other manufactures charging £1000+ for different alloys.

Hi

Has anyone else ordered a 1.4 TSI Petrol or one of the Diesel engines.

If so ,have you got a build date yet ?. I placed my order on the 3rd October when they appeared on the website but , as yet havent got one confirmed.

Yet I was down at my dealer yesterday (Belfast) and someone had a build date of week 46 for a 2.0 model and he had only ordered last week (10/10/08).

With a revo the 1.4 TSI can run identical power figures to the 2.0 ltr!! I cant imagine driving the car with less power to be honest, but if it ticks all your boxes then happy days :)
Car is now Sold!!!!! BMW 7 Series for now as nice and big but holding out for something a little special as my toy :)

Hi

I now have a confirmed build date of Week 50 with delivery in Mid Jan (Week 2).
As I am one of the first to put my name down for the 1.4 Version I assume this will be the earliest build week for that model.
