What Car Next??
Hi All,
My PCP will be coming up for renewal soon and i'm left with a small dilemma..
I've currently got the 2.0TSi with DSG and i really have no idea what car i would choose next.
I don't want to get a Roc R because i would imagine they will release a new rocco altogether in 2015-16 and prices will drop considerably and although its much better than the 2.0 TSI i dont think its a worthy full car upgrade.
I'm pretty much torn between the new Golf R(7) and the new S3 both with 300HP 4WD 0-60 4.9s... im going to dismiss the 135i because i dont want RWD and i dont really like BMW's and the A45's just stupid money.
Any ideas, opinions or disagreements with what i''ve said?
Adam.

I would get the Golf R, I saw it at Geneva and also since at local VW and I was impressed and I must state that I have never ever been a fan of the Golf.
S3 - like all the other Audi A3's - unbelievably boring and in my humble opinion completely uninspiring and shit looking
Golf R all the way

Thanks for the feedback, I thought the Golf R on pictures looks like a chunky polo R line but i saw it in person the other day and was very impressed,..

Re: What Car Next??
M235i Coupe would be my choice but you've ruled that out with it being RWD. Golf R would be my next choice, although with the cheap lease desls about, everybody and their dog has one or is getting one:-)

I suppose, but the M235i's knocking on 40 grand.. then the M2 will come out and destroy it.

Re: What Car Next??
A well specced Golf R isn't far off 40k before discount and if you are worried about the M2 coming along and eclipsing the M235i, the Golf R400 will do the same to.the Golf R, if you think that way. I would also expect.the residuals of the Golf R to take a bit hit in 24/36 months when all these current cheap lease deals come to the end of their term and all the cars are dumped on the market.
We all have different tastes, budgets requirements which means it's a truly personal choice and in reality make threads like this pointless:-)

Re: What Car Next??
its just nice to have opinions from other car enthusiasts that have similar interests due to being on a Scirocco forum.
stock for stock the 235i's too expensive, if i was willing to spend around that money id wait for the new TTS which will be 39k and tbf looks incredibly well equipped and 4.7 to 60 just abit out of my budget im maxed out at around 33k!

Re: What Car Next??
After driving a few I think I will be looking at a A5 next. Bit of a motorway cruiser no doubt, and not as fun as the Rocco but given the miles im doing it seems like a logical choice for me - bit larger, nice shape, similar build quality.
The Golf R 7 looks ace however, I always look twice at them.

Re: What Car Next??
Tbh it comes down to what you want and need. I wont be buying another new car and my next car wont be at that price range so its hard to say what I would have. Golf r would definitely be one of my choices if I could afford a car in that price bracket as a replacement. I like the audi a5 black edition .B13NGL wrote:What would be your choice out of any other car around the same price?whiteDevil_170 wrote:Out of them options id also choose the golf r
