servicing a remapped scirocco
Hi, my cars due a service and i was wondering if i had my car serviced by volkswagen if they would flash the ecu and remove the remap or do they leave the ecu alone? Sorry if this sounds daft but i understand that ford have been known to remove remaps during services and wonder if volkswagen do the same, thanks Dean

No - I haven't heard of them doing that before, only in the case that a recommended ECU update is required then the map could be wiped out.
I am not really up on re-maps so don't take my comment as certain, but I have not heard of this during routine servicing.

IT is common practice if the factory have an update available. Mine was update only once though
