Adaptive chassis

Post by jambo225 »

Hi guys,

I'm new to scirocco ownership but when I press the chassis control button nothing seems to happen, it only seems to be lit at night but doesn't change when pressed and nothing comes on the display. Is something meant to happen.

If anyone could help it would be amazing

Thanks

When you push the button it should cycle between Sport - Comfort - Normal. On the first 2 settings the wording on the switch illuminates accordingly and on Normal nothinf lights up. Depending on the year of the car, a message also comes up on the MFD.

Yeah nothing happens at all, I've just found posts from the previous owner on here and it looks like it's been lowered previously so that might have something to do with it :-s

If it's just lowered on springs it should still work. If it's coilovers then it won't work.

It's not lowered anymore, I've just checked the fuse box and it looks like the fuse is missing :-s

So replaced the fuse and now the button is just flashing. Is there a easy fix or is it a trip to vw?

Flashing means there is a fault. You could check the plugs are connected to each shock OK but it is probably a trip to VW.

I'll take it in. Any chance that would be covered by warranty? Lol

Warranty depends on the cause and circumstances.

I've just had mine lowered and the light has been flashing at me too! Turns out the ACC has 3 sensors on the scirocco and only two of mine had been plugged in when fitting (grrr!). If they have it on coilovers the fuse would have been removed so if when they put it back to stock they didn't replace the fuse, maybe they didn't do the sensors either? If it helps they had it fixed in minutes.

Sadly I don't know where they are but i'm sure someone on here would :)

I've just had the tracking done today which was apparently miles out they didn't have time to plug it in to see if it just needed resetting though, hopefully someone on here will know where the plugs are so I can just do it lol
