Removing a red strip..

Hi everyone,

The previous owner of my Scirocco added a red grill strip, (like the one seen here) which I'd like to remove. It's not a plastic trim like the GTI's, but just a thin sticker.

What is the safest way of doing this? I haven't really tried peeling it off, (I'm afraid it'll leave a mess of red portions & glue) but it doesn't seem like it'll come off smoothly.

I'll appreciate any ideas. :shrug:

It would be held on with double sided tape. So I'd say just warm it up with a hair dryer or heat gun and peel it off.
