Hi everyone, my rocco has done 35k miles,
For the last 5k I have a lot of noise at the rear wheels sounds like rubbing or wheel bearings but drives absolutely fine just noisy.
Still has original Pirelli tyres, could it be the tyres worn and making the noise?
Any other experience or help appreciated
Thanks

Re: Lots of road noise at the rear
It probably will be the tyres as ir's a very common problem on the rear of VAG cars. It's caused by either a sawtooth wear pattern or tread stepping. Swaping the tyres front to back will prove it and it's worth getting a 4 wheel alignment done to eliminate that as the cause.

Re: Lots of road noise at the rear
wheel alignment docent fix this issue (damn shame ) i remember arguing with vw technical for weeks (vw tech some customer really kicked off about it)
they said its down to the compound used in certain tyres !
