Hi guys!
Have had an odd 'knocking' sound coming from the rear driver side wheel arch of the car when breaking / driving slowly / over bumps etc..
It sounds like it's near the petrol tank but i'm not entirely sure..it's not there ALL the time but it's very frustrating and i'm not sure where to start.
Does anyone have any experience of this at all? Considering taking it to a dealer but don't want to get raped with charges if someone can point me in the right direction first
Thanks again!
Cheers
Andy

It's not a dodgy spot weld is it? I had that last year, it is on this forum. VW charged me approx £200 to fix using Waxoyl.
Re: Rear driver side wheel arch noise
thanks for the feedback guys..
i spoke to a vw specialist in Notts, who said "There is a known issue with the tailgate adjustment and I have had noises from the front wishbone consul bushes before"
they've quoted about £200 as well so looks like i may have to fork out a bit for the pleasure!
