HELPPPPP bumper arch liner

Post by Jacobhodson »

Hey guys just hit a badger and buggered up my front bumper and arch liner, ebay and other sites have them but are damaged eg clips and stress damage to them any body on here have a R bumper or original GT Bumper for sale in metallic black, near side arch liner too if any one does,my car looks dreadful and it only happened an hour ago . If any one has one or either at a sensible price I'd be very thankful.

Hi, Jacob.

Try and contact Bush27.

He had a black R-Line bumper for sale back in December. The thread is still in the 'For Sale' section, but you don't have enough posts to be able to access it yet. There's no indication in the thread that he sold it, so he may still have it, if you're lucky.

Good luck!

You just need a certain number of posts to be able to see it. It's not many. I think there may be the same criteria for PMs, too.

I just dropped Bush a PM for you.

No worries, bud.

I dropped him a PM and posted in his thread, telling him to check out this thread.

Hopefully he's still got it, as it sounds like you're not having the best of times with the Roc at the moment!

Xenons and red stitch I'm in envy of ! Euro car parts have them in stock so I think xenon conversion is in order my friend has a vag-com so getting it all for around £600 instead of hazy days 2k quote hat made you want the gts not gt ? Not a fan of the flared diamond cut wheels myself but the red works well

I started off wanting an R-Line, but by the time I'd added xenons and other extras, the price wasn't hugely far from what an R would cost....so I decided to go for an R.

Then, the day I was going to order it, I noticed that it had weirdly vanished from the VW website. I did a bit of frantic digging and found that they had discontinued it.

I was a bit disappointed, but not hugely, as I'd previously settled on an R-Line and just decided to get an R on a whim, really.

I'd always liked the GTS red-stitched leather and the red brake calipers and I had attempted to beg my dealer to arrange for me to be able to have the leather in an R-Line, because I wasn't keen on the GTS' stripes, but it wasn't possible.

Then I saw UK Lee's GTS, instantly loved it and at the same time realised that the stripes were simply vinyls that could be very easily removed. I was sold.

Since then, the stripes have kinda grown on me a little and the plan is to keep them for a while and see how I feel. I love the Thunder wheels, though. They set the GTS apart from the other models and look much better than the alternative of black Lugano, imo.

I've got the black luganos ! I love them wish I had 18s not 19s I live in middle of nowhere and the roads are awful , niche conversions do the new custom seat covers and you can change the stitch colour if you order them so the red stitch isn't a no , and good thing you can put the r defuser and back box and simple r rear conversion :) and you just need the front bumper and clip converters for the front seeing as you have xenons and washers none will tell difference between the skirts difference so you've got your R there !

Na. It wouldn't be an R, though.

By all accounts, you only really see where your extra cash went, when you drive it, so a cosmetic conversion just wouldn't make it an R. Sure, I could maybe get it to look like one....aside from having GTS on the seats and also on the kick plates and steering wheel insert, unless I spend stupid money....but I'm not a fan of making the car look like something that it simply isn't.

I'm also not going to start chopping up a brand new car as soon as it leaves the factory. :shake:

I'm happy with the GTS and I'll maybe get the face-lift R when it comes around.

Yeah ! I fully understand I have a revo stage 2 on mine and I'm a performance nut so I have the r speed just not the looks I also have a set of r8 brakes in the garage I want to install but need to contact puffy performance that did the conversion on that mk5 GTI in performance VW so I can run all 6 callipers and run a r8 reservoir so you don't get a spongey pedal. I'm in live with rev 555s R but the matte grey is so over done every where I look there's a R in matte grey, so I'm going crazy to make something inspiring R Performance in Poland have made a 4 motion using the tsi dsg on a roc and it's perfection !
