Strange Lack of Power

Post by Ruzzy »

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone has ever come across something similar to what I have now experienced twice.

When pulling off this morning in my rocco I slowly moved in first then put my foot down to speed up to make a gear change, the car didn't respond at all it just kept crawling at about 2mph. no matter where the accelerator pedal was positioned the speed and revs remained the same. I dipped the clutch and went back into first and I got some response, but drove like a slug for the rest of my journey to work?

some additional information I park facing up hill (not particularly steep) and the car is the 1.4 160 Manual, I live in wales so it was of course raining and around 5 or 6 degrees, this has happened to me at least once before

Thanks

Sounds a lot like the problem I recently had: http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/ ... 25&t=15281" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Does the lack of power remain after turning the ignition off and on again?

Hi Jeff,

im not sure as I turned the engine off and bolted into work as I was running late, I read your thread could be a similar issue. If it does it again I will try turning it off and on and then get it to a dealer, I suspect if its working fine on my way home they will just BS me
