I hit a pot hole earlier and got a split on the edge of the tyre (visible and found by submersing in water).
I've put the space saver on. It's an 18" and my wheels are all 19". I didn't check the space savers tyre size earlier, when you look at the car you can see it tilting down toward the front left where the space saver is.
Doesn't seem right? Wheel is on correctly. VW dealer closed by time I phoned up.
Car is MY12 with 19" factory option wheels.
Going to order a new tyre Monday for Tuesday fitting and lucky haven't got to go anywhere major. Most annoyingly, it's a 6 week old Goodyear F1Assymetric 2 tyre!

Re: Space saver - wrong size?
Although the space saver is 18", the profile of the tyre is such that the overall rolling radius is pretty close to your 19" wheels with 35 profile tures.
My car also has the 19" factory fit wheels and the space saver is 18"
Standard 18" wheels with 235/40 tyres and 19" wheels with 235/35 tyres have a close enough rolling radius that the 18" space saver does both.

Many thanks. I guess as it's only to get you out of trouble, it's close enough to be okay.

While on the subject of space saver spare wheels, I have the 19" black Lugano upgrades on mine but it has a 16" spare, is this right?
